Four Manchester United players need to secure exits before transfer deadline

With just over a fortnight of the summer transfer window remaining, Manchester United face a race against time to get their remaining business done.

The Reds, following the success of Erik ten Hag's first season at the club last term, have been busy over the summer so far, drafting in three new faces and saying farewell to a cluster of youngsters and fringe players. They have drafted in Andre Onana from Inter Milan, Mason Mount Mount from Chelsea and Danish international Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.

Ten Hag has refused to rule out the prospect of further additions before the bell sounds at 11pm on September 1, too. United are still in the market for a defensive midfielder and will attempt to sign another centre-back if Harry Maguire seals his expected move to West Ham United.

Maguire is one of a handful of first-team players that need to be moved on before the shutters come down on the window, with the likes of Eric Bailly and Donny van de Beek also in need of being shifted. They have no futures in M16 and it would be best for both parties to cut ties.

Though they have no futures at the club, there is a crop of younger players within United's ranks that could have futures at Old Trafford, just not as soon as this season. A cluster of them would benefit from a season-long loan, hopefully benefitting from a year of earning regular first-team football in a competitive environment.
