Four left-field transfers Leicester City could explore during hectic summer window

The summer is going to be a hectic one on the transfer front for Leicester City.

While the main focus will be on Brendan Rodgers' healthy refresh, with 'five or six' new starting players wanted, the transfer market always presents unique and interesting opportunities.

There are several of those Leicester could take advantage of this summer as they look to build the club and its business model in other ways. Whether that be through their presence in Thailand or bolstering the under-23s in unique ways, Leicester could get crafty this summer. Below is a look at four left-field names the club could sign.

Keereerom is another who could arrive and slot into the under-23 set-up. The 19 year-old central defender currently plies his tried with FC Augsburg's second team in the fourth tier of German football. He has been playing in Germany since the age of 13 or 14 so may well have a German passport. That would allow Leicester to sign him without a work permit requirement, per Premier League rules.

: Okay, okay. Hear us out. A growing trend in English football is that of an older player, often in his mid-thirties, by a Premier League club to play solely in their under-23 side. Man United have Paul McShane, 35, while Olly Lancashire (33) is at Southampton.
