Fire breaks out in thatched roof of Bramhall property - latest updates

A fire has broken out in the thatched roof of a property in Bramhall. Crews from Poynton Fire Station are attacking the blaze on Bramhall Lane South both internally and externally.

The firefighters are using hose reel jets as well as wearing breathing apparatus. A statement on the Poynton Fire Station Twitter account @PoyntonFS, which was posted at 12.22am along with two accompanying photographs from the scene, read: "Our crews are at the scene of a fire involving a thatched roof on Bramhall Lane South in Bramhall. Crews are attacking the fire both internally and externally with hose reel jets and firefighters wearing breathing apparatus. #Bramhall #fire."
