BREAKING: Police cordon off street in Prestwich after serious incident - latest updates

Police have cordoned off a street in Prestwich this morning.

A section of Ogden Street has been taped off. It is cordoned off near the junction with Whittaker Lane.

The cordon is in place near to St Hilda's CofE Primary School and a number of shops. Officers are currently stationed at the scene.

The nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed. The Manchester Evening News has contacted Greater Manchester Police for information.
