'Finally!' - Manchester United fans in agreement after Erik ten Hag selection call vs Everton

Erik ten Hag has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's Premier League encounter against Everton at Goodison Park this afternoon, making a handful of changes.

United, who beat the Toffees on three separate occasions last season, will be looking to register a third successive league win for the first time this season after beating Luton Town prior to the international break. It means Ten Hag, who will serve a touchline ban this afternoon, will be determined to see his side build on that triumph as they aim to narrow the gap on the top four. The Dutchman, as expected, has decided to make a few changes to the side that defeated the Hatters just over a fortnight ago, making three alterations in total.

Luke Shaw, back from a long-term injury, Kobbie Mainoo, who makes his first start of the season, and Anthony Martial have come into the side, meaning Sergio Reguilon, Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund have dropped out. The latter was a doubt after suffering a muscle injury in the win over Luton.

Meanwhile, the likes of Raphael Varane, Hannibal Mejbri and youngster Joe Hugill have been named among the substitutes. Elsewhere, the likes of Mason Mount and Casemiro miss out through injury.
