Ebbsfleet dropped points after being held to a draw at Farnborough in National League South on Saturday.
The Fleet were unable to convert their first-half dominance into goals and were ultimately left to pay the price as the hosts hit back in the second half.
Ebbsfleet made five changes from the midweek loss at home to Horsham. Tom Dallison, Toby Edser, Josh Coley, Lennon Peake and Dominic Samuel all start with Charlie Seaman, Ben Coker, Aaron Cosgrave, Kwesi Appiah and Ronny Nelson dropping to the bench.
Former Fleet men Billy Clifford and Rakish Bingham started for Farnborough but 11-goal Dominic Poleon was named as a token substitute due to injury.
Those fresh legs in the Ebbsfleet side had the desired impact as they started in quick fashion, taking a second-minute lead.
Farnborough keeper Jack Turner did well to turn Coley’s close-range effort past the post from a Ben Chapman cross.

It set the tone for a half dominated by the Fleet who went in wondering how they hadn’t already wrapped the game up.
Samuel somehow missed his kick from Finlay Barnes’ fifth-minute left-wing cross and then the pair combined on 11 minutes but Samuel’s shot was well blocked by the home defence.
Lennon Peake’s free-kick found the side netting from a difficult angle as the home side struggled to get out of their half.
It should have been 2-0 on 36 minutes when Peake’s right-wing corner was met initially by Dallison and then Coley, with keeper Turner touching his header onto the bar.
Within a minute, Coley was denied again as Turner saved with his legs before Edser shot inches wide
