Farmers stage major protest as Mark Drakeford visits college - live updates
Farmers have staged a protest to coincide with Mark Drakeford's visit to a Welsh college. Hundreds have gathered in Rhyl to protest against the Welsh Government's post-Brexit farm subsidy scheme.
They gathered outside Coleg Llandrillo's Rhyl campus where the First Minister was visiting on Wednesday afternoon, reports NorthWalesLive.
As part of the controversial plans, farmers will have to commit to planting trees on 10% of their land and allocate another 10% for wildlife habitats. The Sustainable Farming Scheme, which is set to replace farming subsidies after Brexit, has prompted protests by farmers across Wales.
We'll be bringing you live updates from the protest as we get it.
