Live updates as M4 crash causes heavy traffic

There is heavy traffic on the M4 this evening due to a crash which has closed one lane. The incident happened eastbound just before 6pm and is causing tailbacks from junction 33 A4232 (Cardiff West And Services) to junction 32 A470 Northern Avenue (Coryton Interchange).

There is heavy traffic in the area due to the crash, which has closed one out of four lanes, Inrix reports. Traffic is also slow on the opposite side as a knock-on effect and due to rush hour.

The AA is reporting delays of seven minutes eastbound between junction 33 A4232 (Cardiff West And Services) and junction 32 A470 Northern Avenue (Coryton Interchange). There are also delays elsewhere on the M4 with nine-minute tailbacks westbound between junction 30 A4232 Pentwyn Link Road (Cardiff Gate) and junction 33 A4232 (Cardiff West And Services).
