Live updates as major Cardiff road shut after serious crash

A major road in Cardiff is closed in both directions after a 'serious' crash. Police are in attendance on Rover Way in Splott, which is closed between Seawall Road and Tesco Extra.

A South Wales Police spokesperson said: "We are at the scene of a serious collision on Rover Way in Splott, Cardiff. The road is currently closed in both directions between Seawall Road and Tesco Superstore.

"It is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area."
