FA Cup first round draw LIVE: Time and TV channel as Cardiff City learn opponents

The magic of the FA Cup is about to begin — and Cardiff City are back in the hat.

For the first time in more than two decades, the Bluebirds will feature in the first round draw of the world’s oldest cup competition after last season’s relegation to League One. It’s an unfamiliar stage for City fans, but one packed with nostalgia and opportunity — the start of a campaign that could pit them against anyone from non-league hopefuls to Premier League giants.

The draw takes place tonight, ahead of the fourth qualifying round clash between Worthing and Forest Green Rovers, with coverage beginning around 6.30pm (BST). Fans can tune in live on TNT Sports 1, on discovery+, or via the TNT Sports YouTube channel.

Cardiff are ball number 13 in the draw, joined by fellow Welsh side Newport County (31) as clubs from League One, League Two and non-league level learn their fate.

The first round proper will be played across the weekend of November 1, marking the official start of the FA Cup journey for the EFL sides.
