Ex-Newcastle kid with 'bags of potential' signs for Hamilton

Hamilton have signed former Newcastle kid Regan Thomson, following his release by the English giants.

Newcastle beat Celtic and Rangers to Thomson in 2020, signing him on a two-and-a-half year deal from Queen's Park, but the move hasn't worked out for the 19-year-old midfielder.

"He has bags of potential, he's always had potential. Reagan took a pathway to go down south but he was always one who was ear-marked for having huge potential.

"As soon as the name came to me I knew who it was, and it's one we will look to progress."

Thomson told the club's website: "I am buzzing
