Every Man United game Amad could miss as injury nightmare confirmed in latest Ruben Amorim blow

Manchester United star Amad may not play again this season after suffering an ankle ligament injury ahead of Sunday's Premier League trip to Tottenham.

Reports on Saturday suggested the forward had sustained the problem in the week to hand Ruben Amorim a major blow. The Ivory Coast international has been one of United's best players this season with nine goals and seven assists.

Amad confirmed the reports of his injury on social media amid fears he could be out until May. "Extremely disappointed to be writing this message in such a crucial time of the season," he wrote on Instagram. "Unfortunately, I will be out for some time with an injury.

"I will come back stronger than ever!! Time to support the boys from the outside. Still loads to play for." It comes after Amorim hinted at some issues within his squad, seemingly pointing towards four new injury blows.

Amad has played in the two advanced roles behind the striker as well as wing-back this season under Amorim. His absence will be a huge blow for the foreseeable future for United with plenty still to play for.
