Eurovision 2023 presenters say you're still 'welcome' to join the party in Liverpool even if you haven't got a ticket - and here's how

Eurovision presenters say fans will still be welcomed with 'open arms' to the city of Liverpool after tickets to the live event sold out within minutes after they went on sale in March. The Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 will take place at the Liverpool Arena on Saturday, May 13 with Semi-Finals on Tuesday 9 and Thursday 11.

But Rylan Clark and Scott Mills, who will host BBC Radio 2's coverage of the grand final, and Wirral Olympian Sam Quek, who will host The Turquoise Carpet Opening Ceremony with Ukrainian Eurovision presenter Timur Miroshnychenko on Sunday, May 7, have reassured fans won't feel left out even if they don't have a ticket.

"If you're coming and you can't get tickets and you want to get involved, Liverpool is going to welcome you with open arms," said Sam at the Eurovision media launch event at the city's British Music Experience. She added: "If you need directions over to the arena everyone is genuinely going to welcome you. We love a party, and we love a celebration."

Scott agreed: "It doesn't matter of you don't have a ticket, there's so much going on. Working on it for 10 plus years I've never seen as many events and special things going on in a city as this."

And Rylan said: "You'e really in for the biggest show on earth because these guys really know what they're doing and we cannot wait to see it brought to life."

Located at Pier Head, a Eurovision Village is set to be the main hub for fans for the first two weeks of May, hosting live performances and screenings of the Grand Final and the two semi-finals. EuroClub at Camp and Furnace will be hosting nightly Eurovision fiestas until the early hours from Friday
