Erling Haaland, Phil Foden - Man City injury latest and return dates ahead of Southampton

Manchester City are close to having a fully-fit squad for manager Pep Guardiola to select from after Erling Haaland returned to training.

The striker missed the 4-1 win over Liverpool last weekend as he recovered from a groin injury but he joined the rest of his City teammates in training this week. Haaland also pulled out of the Norway national team squad due to the problem picked up during the FA Cup quarter-final victory against Vincent Kompany's Burnley.

The 22-year-old will now be fit to feature against Southampton, leaving Phil Foden as the only City player sidelined. The England international continues to recover from appendix surgery during the international break. Here's the latest injury news from the Etihad.

What Guardiola has said: "He's been training really good; he will be ready."

Injury: Appendicitis

Possible return date: Mid-April

What Guardiola has said: "Phil had surgery. The doctors tell me two or three weeks. So, we will see how his development is after appendix surgery.'

Southampton, meanwhile, have several injury issues ahead of the weekend. Defender Armel Bella-Kotchap is doubtful due to a shoulder issue, while Che Adams and Mohamed Salisu are also out.

Full-backs Valentino Livramento and City academy graduate Juan Larios are long-term absentees. Saints head coach Ruben Selles confirmed the latter is out for the season due to a thigh injury. The teenager has made just five Premier League appearances on the south coast since sealing a permanent transfer last summer.
