His main job is to prevent the opposition from finding the back of the net and that's ultimately how he'll be judged in his first year at Old Trafford, in which he'll be forced to deal with intense scrutiny on his role.

His ball-playing quality means he's got the potential to be a transformational influence and he's already helped the build-up play in pre-season.
