Erik ten Hag already knows next Man United transfer after De Ligt and Mazraoui deals

Manchester United are set for a hectic end to the transfer window this month. After moving quickly to bring Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro to the club, the club's recruitment has slowed down.

However, less than a week until their Premier League season starts, Erik ten Hag is close to putting the finishing touches to his squad. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is close to leaving the club for West Ham United, a deal that leaves the door open for Bayern Munich duo Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui to join.

That will make four new faces through the door at Carrington. In an ideal world, United will sign at least two more players with particular focus being on a new holding midfielder. For that to happen, more outgoings are required.

Harry Maguire, Casemiro, Scott McTominay, Christian Eriksen and Antony are all players who have been linked with departing this summer. However, Jadon Sancho's tricky case remains unresolved.
