English club find Dundee vs Rangers solution as they move 2 games 25 MILES to get them on

An English non-league club can't play either of their upcoming games at home due to their pitch - so have moved them more than 25 MILES to get the matches on.

The Dundee pitch saga has dominated the Scottish football news cycle over the past 24 hours after their home game with Rangers was postponed for a second time due to the farcical surface at Dens Park. Rangers released a raging statement demanding answers from the SPFL after it initially passed an 11am pitch inspection – only be called off after a second check at 3.30pm, with the weather forecast looking ominous.

Dundee now only have one window to get the game played before the split and have rearranged it to next Wednesday - controversially so as their rivals for a top six spot will have already played by that time - something Hibs have expressed concerns about. Dundee could face disciplinary action from the SPFL but down south, a non-league club appear to have shown them how it's done.

FC Halifax in the Vanarama National League are due to play Barnet at the weekend and due to issues with their pitch, they are unable to play it at their usual home of The Shay in West Yorkshire. Their pitch is already so bad that they can't play their game on Tuesday there either. But did they postpone them? No, they simply moved the games 25 miles across Yorkshire.

It's an hour's drive between Halifax's home ground and Accrington Stanley's Wham! Stadium but that is where their game will be played this weekend. They were applauded for their quick work in finding a new venue for their two Vanarama clashes as they temporarily move 25 miles west to play their home games.
