Emmerdale fans overjoyed as 'old character' returns after lengthy absence for revenge

Emmerdale enthusiasts were thrilled when Kim Tate (played by Claire King) hatched a fresh revenge scheme on Monday (July 22) as her 'old character returned'. In recent episodes of the ITV soap, Kim has seemed more subdued, with her typically assertive attitude seemingly disappearing.

She's been gradually distancing herself from her family after Rose Jackson (portrayed by Christine Tremarco) arrived in the village as the estranged ex-wife of Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) and mother of Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley).

Rose has been conspiring with Ruby Fox-Milligan (Beth Cordingly) to topple Kim. However, their plan reached a climax when Rose tried to drug Will, but the drinks got mixed up and Dawn ended up being drugged, leading to a severe car crash.

Kim has since accepted responsibility for the spiking and during the latest visit to the village, she issued a stern warning to those responsible as her fierce personality resurfaced, reports the Express.

Relocating from her grand residence, Kim later rendezvoused with her cleaner Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) who revealed that she had overheard Rose on the baby monitor discussing the spiking. She also admitted that Rose was pursuing Will again.

Rather than becoming irate, Kim resolved to uncover who was behind Rose's antics. She then cautioned: "They are going to regret it."

She further stated: "But for now we keep our friends close and our enemies closer", as she schemed her revenge.

Emmerdale enthusiasts were thrilled to witness Kim Tate's nefarious side once again, with one fan exclaiming on X: "Ladies and gentlemen bow down to Queen Kim.... Will, Dismal Dawnn and Rose when they get thrown out of Home Farm."

Another proclaimed: "All Hail Queen Kim Tate #emmerdale #claireking
