Emmerdale confirms devastating health battle for Moira Dingle after fans spot 'symptoms'

Emmerdale has confirmed Moira Dingle is struggling with an alcohol relapse that she's hiding from her husband Cain and son Matty Barton. In recent episodes of the ITV soap, Moira has sparked concern among viewers following her recent outbursts.

Earlier this week, the farmer couldn't hide her satisfaction when Samson Dingle was put in prison after admitting he wrongfully got Matty banged up for stabbing him.

Sam and Lydia Dingle were left horrified as their son was walked out of The Woolpack in handcuffs, but a grin swept across Moira's face. This left Cain suspicious of his wife's part in his nephew Samson's arrest.

Back at home, Cain confronted his wife over her reaction to the arrest as she firmly denied calling the police. But she soon sent a glad flying across the kitchen and into a wall.

On Tuesday (August 7), Cain asked to forget their argument from the night before but Moira soon caused more tension.

"They should throw away the key", she commented about Samson's prison sentence before claiming he made the situation worse by trying to toughen Samson up for prison.

Matty accused his mum of having a lack of empathy as the atmosphere between the two remained tense.

During Thursday's trip to the village (August 8), Matty and Moira made up but he was soon left concerned when he found his mum asleep in the middle of the day.

She blamed her long working hours and keeping a clean home for her tiredness as she begged him not to mention it to Cain. Moira was confused that she'd fallen asleep and pointed out she hadn't eaten much food.
