Manchester Pride screening of Sugababes LOSES SIGNAL after fans queue for hours

Fans hoping to see the Sugababes at Manchester Pride 2024 this evening were left facing two hour queues to get into the Main Stage arena after the space had been filled to capacity.

Announced earlier today, bosses of the four-day festival said they would be adding a live screening of the performance on the Alan Turing stage at Sackville Gardens - leading to a slight reshuffle to the line-up.

But as the 00s pop group took to the Main Stage, fans at the second stage for the screening reported that the screening was out of sync. One person posted on X: "Watching Sugababes performing a few hundred metres away from us on a screen in Sackville Gardens and the music isn’t even in sync. Almost iconic how naff this is."

Moments later, fans took to social media to report how the performance had stopped screening altogether with a ‘no signal’ message appearing on screen instead. The technical issue led to fans loudly booing in response.

One person said: “Live stream is going terrible at Alan Turning stage, congratulations.” They added: “Lot of angry guests feeling let down unfortunately this year!”

Another said: "The absolute drama of trying to watch the Sugababes in Sackville Park. The screen keeps cutting out with the sound and everyone keeps booing." Another added: "The Alan Turing stage keeps losing the signal to the Sugababes live stream."

Making reference to the Sugababes’ debut single Overload, another said: “Train comes @ManchesterPride don't know it's destination.”

A spokesperson for Manchester Pride said that following the technical difficulties, audio of the performance was aired in Sackville Gardens.
