Emergency services scrambled to Sale following motorbike crash - latest updates

Police have taped off a road in Sale after a collision involving a motorbike.

Dane Road has been closed between Dalton Street and Danefield Road since around 5.30pm this afternoon (Wednesday July 27). Photographs taken from the scene show a motorcycle on the ground, within the cordon.

According to witnesses, an air ambulance also landed on nearby Crossford Bridge Playing Fields.

Manchester Evening news has contacted Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) for more details about the nature of the crash.
