Emergency services close road as they fight fire in Trealaw: Live updates

A road is expected to remain close "for some time" as emergency services deal respond to a fire. South Wales Police and South Wales Fire & Rescue Service are currently in attendance at the scene on Miskin Road, Trealaw in the Rhondda.

The road is currently closed in both directions between Rhys Street and Victoria Street. Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Emergency services are at the scene of an incident at Miskin Road, Trealaw. The road is currently closed in both directions between Rhys Street and Victoria Street. It is expected to remain closed for some time. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area"
