Elden Ring: How to beat Morgott, the Omen King

Elden Ring has a number of storyline bosses and one of those is Morgott, the Omen King, one of the very hardest fights in the entire game.

Now, we’ve got to put some context behind that statement because Elden Ring is one of the hardest games you can buy.

Some fights are so punishing that they may make you think why you bothered to buy the game in the first place, and this is one of those battles.

You’re going to die here, a lot, and we have to tell you at the start that there is no easy way to get by Morgott, the Omen King.

He’s very similar to Margit, the Fell Omen. You know, that boss you fought right at the start of the game, and who likely pounded you into dust a few times before you actually managed to beat him.

Morgott, though, is much more dangerous, much more levelled, and hits you so hard that he can kill you in a couple of attacks.

Now, we made it clear in our guide to beating Margit that you can get Margit’s Shackle, an item that can knock down and temporarily stun the first main story boss in the game. It can do the same thing to Morgott so make sure it’s in your possession before the fight.

You can get it from Patches, an NPC you will encounter earlier in the game.

Also, you’ll need the very strongest physical armour you can find. We aren’t joking when we say that Morgott is a deadly opponent who can kill you in a few moves.

If you utilise a Furled Finger Remedy outside the boss area, you can summon Melina, who is an NPC that draws immense aggro, and can also deal some real damage herself too.

Now, we’d recommend that you are at least level 80, here, much like the fight against Godfrey, First Elden Lord before it.

Beating Morgott will land you 120,000 runes, his Great Rune, and the Remembrance of the Omen
