Elden Ring: DLC hint found in the game

Elden Ring is one of the biggest games ever made and is also a critical darling already, but it could well have DLC coming soon.

Having been released on next-gen consoles and PC, the game has gone down as one of the very best ever after reviewers have got their hands on it.

Per Metacritic, the game has a staggering 96 rating on PS5, meaning that it is the best PlayStation game of the year, and the best PS5 game in the lifespan of the console.

The numbers are similar across the board; on PC, it has a 94 score; on Xbox Series X, it has a 96 too.

This is an incredible release, and it challenges its players to pour hours into it and keep playing throughout its lifespan.

There are over a hundred bosses to fight throughout the game, and likely hundreds of hours for you to spend in its world too.

If you want to do absolutely everything, this could take months, or even years, for you to finish properly.

But it seems as though From Software could now be looking towards the future.

Eurogamer reports that a user, named Lance McDonald, who has previously hacked From’s Bloodborne release, has found a colosseum in the game.

In Limgrave, if you head east of Stormveil Castle, you’ll find the colosseum. You can’t open the door to get in but there will be a ghost sat outside who asks you why he can’t open the door. You’re then likely to be invaded by an AI player for an interesting, if easy, mini-boss battle.

McDonald, though, has found a way to get into the colosseum, and Eurogamer reports that this could be a hint towards a future multiplayer mode.

Old Dark Souls games have utilised a PvP mode, as well, but it isn’t currently in Elden Ring.
