Early morning crash closes part of busy dual carriageway - live updates

A crash has closed part of a busy dual carriageway in Monmouthshire.

The A449 closed northbound on Thursday morning (April 27) due to the crash that occurred between the Usk and Raglan Interchange.

Traffic Wales said at 5.43am the road is closed from junction 24 of the M4 at Coldra and Raglan.

Gwent Police say: "Please avoid the area if possible and find alternative routes for your journey. Expect long delays if using this road."

Cameras show that police have closed off the carriageway at the busy motorway junction.
