Eagles WR Devon Allen runs third-fastest 110m hurdles in history

The Philadelphia Eagles might well have discovered the next speed freak in the NFL with their rookie wide receiver Devon Allen.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to continue their rebuild as a franchise after years of being in the doldrums in the National Football League. Having gone without a win in the playoffs from 2009-2016, they were able to capture the franchise’s first Super Bowl in the 2017 season which has set them up to become a more stable franchise in recent years.

They have reached the playoffs in three of the past four seasons after their Super Bowl victory, with the 2020 season being something of a disaster as they could only finish 4-11-1, last in the NFC East.

They were able to rebound last season in Nick Sirianni’s first year as the team’s head coach as well as Jalen Hurts’ debut season as the team’s confirmed starting quarterback, which saw him throw 3,144 yards which translated into 16 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, which isn’t too bad of an effort.

In an effort to try and give the team more firepower, the Eagles made a pretty big trade on draft night, as they traded one of their 1st-round picks to the Tennessee Titans in order to acquire wide receiver A.J. Brown, a receiver who has  2,995 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns in his three years in the NFL.

However one of their other receivers this year could be set to cause even more problems around the league in the form of Devon Allen.

The 27-year-old was signed to a three-year undrafted rookie deal this past offseason after years away from the sport, he had played college football with the Oregon Ducks, but didn’t exactly stand out as in his three years there he only put up 921 yards with 8 touchdowns, with his main sport being the 110m
