Dwight Yorke names unhappy 'baller' who should be better integrated into Man United squad

Dwight Yorke believes Manchester United outcast Jadon Sancho can be reintegrated into the squad after his record-breaking exploits in Germany.

Sancho was banished from the first-team in September after a very public fallout with manager Erik ten Hag. The England international was forced to train on his own and was eventually loaned to former club Borussia Dortmund in January.

Sancho has since rediscovered some of the form that prompted United to fork out a whopping £80million for his services. He has helped Dortmund reach the semi-finals of the Champions League and at the weekend became the highest-scoring Englishman in Bundesliga history, overtaking Tony Woodcock.

The 24-year-old curled a sensational strike into the top corner to break the deadlock against RB Leipzig on Saturday afternoon, before his side were ultimately beaten 4-1.

He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, after the match: “A result to reflect on… thank you for the travelling fans who came to support us today! A bittersweet moment also for breaking the English record goal scorer in the Bundesliga surpassing the legend Tony Woodcock!”

Yorke feels that there is still a chance the player could resurrect his Old Trafford career, though that is likely to depend on whether Ten Hag is still in the dugout next season. And he feels United must allow the player more freedom to express himself.
