Dundee against Rangers is ON as Premiership clash set to beat the Dens Park downpour

Dundee vs Rangers is on as confident Dens Park chiefs believe the game will go ahead despite heavy rain wreaking havoc in Tayside.

The Dark Blues released a statement early on Wednesday morning to suggest that while they were 'optimistic' about the Premiership game going ahead, they were monitoring the weather. A deluge from Storm Ciaran followed but insiders at Dundee are growing increasingly confident it's full steam ahead. Tony Docherty's Dundee side will hope to continue their strong run against a Rangers side aiming to keep pace with Celtic under Phillipe Clement's guidance.

If the game had been called off it would have opened up the chance for Brendan Rodgers' champions to potentially have opened up an 11-point gap on their rivals who are are Viaplay Cup semi final duty when they take on Hearts at Hampden on Sunday.
