Celtic fan uses Brendan Rodgers’ record over Rangers to put paranoid punters in their place – Hotline

The international break gives Celtic and Rangers fans the chance for a rest – or maybe even a lie down.

That seems to be the buzz phrase on the Hotline after Aberdeen were accused or rolling over for Celtic but raising their game to face Rangers. The Dons were caught napping on the job in the 6-0 defeat at Parkhead last weekend and they’ll need to be wide awake when Gers come calling after Scotland international duty.

But Celtic fans reckon there is only one lying king in Scotland. Lance Little, Erskine, said: “To Hamilton Bradstock from Kilmarnock on yesterday's Hotline who thinks Aberdeen lay down to Celtic. I presume his team do the same with Brendan as they have failed to win 13 matches out of 14 against him.” Peter Lyons, Blantyre, said: “Here is a stat for stato Bradstock. Well, check this, about three years ago, Rangers raised their game against the Dons, four times including a 4-0 Pittodrie win. So twelve points. Next game, guess what happened? They lie down, to who? Celtic! Big score too. So raising and lying down only applies when it suits and I hope we don't hear any more of it.”
