Dumfries and Galloway rally crews head north for Grampian Forest Rally
The battle for this year’s Asset Alliance Group Scottish Rally Championship heads north this weekend.
And a number of Dumfries and Galloway crews will be taking part in the Voyonic Grampian Forest Rally.
Third seed of the SRC crews will be Castle Douglas’ Jock Armstrong and Owen Paterson of Dumfries in their Skoda Fabia, who are looking to bounce back from a first stage retirement on the RSAC Scottish Rally last time out.
Dumfries’ Mark McCulloch will be making the trip along with Michael Hendry as they continue to develop their Proton Satria Evo.
Castle Douglas’ Scott Peacock and Craig Wallace top the Mitsubishi Evo entries, with Penpont’s Greg McKnight and Dumfries’ Harry Marchbank topping the two-wheel seeding in their Ford Escort Mk2. Their competition will include Robert Proudlock of Dumfries and Steven Brown in their Peugeot 208 Rally4. Also making the journey with an Escort is Bridge of Dee’s Donald peacock and Dumfries’ Mairi Riddick.
The action begins with two stages on Friday, with the remaining seven stages on Saturday.
