Double promotion party for Livingston Cricket Club on season's final day

Livingston Cricket Club had a double celebration on the final day of the East of Scotland Cricket Association season after both the First and Third XIs secured promotion.

Both sides went into their respective Division One and Division Seven fixtures knowing the equation was simple – win and it was time to party. And they both duly delivered with a blistering bowling display ensuring a comfortable win for the First XI over Edinburgh Accies to seal a historic promotion to the Championship for the first time in the club’s history.

The Third XI got the better of Bass Rock Second XI by three wickets in their final game to secure second spot as they will be playing in Division Six next season.

A key late partnership between Saji Samuel and Arsh Jindhal got them over the line with three wickets and three overs to spare.
