'Don't blame him!' - Manchester United fans defend Mason Mount after autograph video goes viral

Manchester United fans have defended Mason Mount after a video emerged of him being pressured into signing autographs.

The midfielder was captured on camera refusing to sign shirts from a group late at night. Mount was walking away from the group, who continued to follow him and apply pressure to sign their memorabilia.

The video was initially uploaded to TikTok and clearly shows Mount kindly asking those pursuing him to leave him alone. Instead, they continued to apply pressure.

Mount could be heard asking the group to stop 'keep coming back' to try and get him to sign shirts, outlining that he hasn't been signing them for the 'last three days'.

In response, United have released a statement condemning the group and insisting the growing issue must stop. They state that autograph hunters pressuring players has become a regular occurrence and a major problem at Carrington.

Understandably, United fans have jumped to the defence of Mount, insisting he deserves his privacy. Here is a sample of what fans have said online.
