Alejandro Garnacho sends message Manchester United fans will love after making pre-season return

Alejandro Garnacho returned to Carrington for Manchester United's pre-season preparations on Saturday, posting a picture of himself on Instagram saying he is 'back home'.

The winger was among more than a dozen first-team players to return to Carrington this weekend. Many United players represented their countries in the June internationals, with a subsequent three-week break allowing them time to rest up.

Garnacho made his senior Argentina debut last month, coming off the bench as Lionel Scaloni's side beat Australia 2-0. He then made his second appearance for Argentina four days later, again stepping off the bench as Scaloni's men beat Indonesia 2-0.

On Saturday, the teenager posted a picture of himself back at United's training complex alongside the caption: "Back to Carrington back home [heart emoji]".

The likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro were all back in training this week as United step up their pre-season preparations. Ten Hag's men will face Lyon in Edinburgh on Wednesday.

The Reds will then travel to New York, Texas and Las Vegas. They will face Arsenal, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund while out in America, with an academy side also set to face Wrexham on July 26.

United kicked off their pre-season schedule with a 2-0 victory over Leeds in Oslo earlier this week, with Noam Emeran and Joe Hugill grabbing the goals.
