Derek Adams Scottish football blast a 'sackable offence' for Ross County boss rages ex Premiership star
St Johnstone legend Chris Millar reckons Ross County boss Derek Adams has committed a sackable offence with his astonishing blast at the quality of Scottish football.
Adams launched into a stinging attack on the standard of the Premiership after his Staggies side lost 1-0 to Dundee on Saturday dubbing it “rubbish” and “shocking”. The 48-year-old has only been back in Dingwall a month after leaving Morecambe and claimed his old side in England’s bottom tier were “a hundred times better than this”. But St Johnstone hero Millar - who made over 300 appearances for the Perth club across 10 years and had a spell as interim manager of Clyde earlier this season - has accused Adams of disrespecting his club and his players.
And he reckons he should be facing the boot. Taking to social media, Millar said: “The disrespect the Ross County manager has shown the club and his players is, for me, a sackable offence. Not to mention the slight he puts on the game in Scotland. Embarrassing from someone in his position to act". Adams launched into his tirade moments after County had lost out to an injury time winner against Dee meaning they’ve won two and lost two of his four games in charge.
He blasted: "The standard is shocking. It's one of the worst games I've ever seen. I've been back and I see the standard and I think 'wow - any chance?' If I'm a spectator watching this today, I'm thinking 'is this what Scottish football is all about?' It needs to up its game.
