Jamie O'Hara claims Celtic SHOULDN'T be worried about Brendan Rodgers as pundit admits he got one thing badly wrong

Jamie O'Hara has told itchy Celtic fans not to be worried about their recent slump in form.

That is because in his view the 'brilliant' tactical mind of Brendan Rodgers will get awake them from their current slumber to match the challenge they face to retain the Scottish Premiership. Celtic have lost back-to-back league games with Hearts' 2-0 victory at Celtic Park on Saturday seeing the quiet grumbles of discontent become loud roars of anger, with the board, squad and manager getting it in the neck from agitated punters. To cap a weekend of disappointment off, they watched rivals Rangers lift the Viaplay Cup and claim the first piece of silverware of the season.

But for former Tottenham star O'Hara, who has often been critical of the Old Firm with his outspoken punditry, says that there is a brilliant tactical mind at the helm in Glasgow and that there's no need to press the panic button at Parkhead. “Looking at Celtic, I’ve always liked Brendan Rodgers,” he told Grosvenor Sport.

“He did the business at Celtic for a long time and then he left, and Ange Postecoglou was obviously fantastic there as well. I think Brendan is a brilliant tactician who knows how to get the best out of players, and the recent results shouldn’t worry the side.”

The radio host admits, however, he was way wrong when he dismissed Postecoglou's achievements in Scotland. He added: “When Ange first got the job, I didn’t think he was the right man. However, I couldn’t have been more wrong – he’s unbelievable. What a manager he has been so far, I love the style of football that he is trying to implement at Tottenham it is brilliant. More importantly, he has a real personality, and he seems relatable in interviews.
