Declan Rice 'highly unlikely' to stay at West Ham

Declan Rice is “highly unlikely” to stay at West Ham beyond this season, according to transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Hammers midfielder is thought to be a target for the top clubs in the country, as he continues to impress at the London Stadium.

According to The Telegraph, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea are all targeting Rice, with David Moyes and West Ham braced for summer bids.

However, the club’s owners are believed to value the 23-year-old at around £100m. Whether any of the aforementioned clubs are willing to go anywhere near that remains to be seen.

As well as the three Premier League giants, Carlo Ancelotti and Real Madrid are also said to be interested. Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio recently told Wettfreunde that if Rice becomes available, then the former Everton and Chelsea boss is “sure to be there”.

On WhoScored, only the in-form Jarrod Bowen, who has 16 goal involvements in the Premier League this season, has a higher rating than Rice, putting into perspective how good the England international has been in the current campaign.

Jones has told GIVEMESPORT that it is highly unlikely that Rice will still be a West Ham player after the summer, though the Hammers securing Champions League football could easily change things.

Speaking to GMS, the football journalist said: “The other day I spoke to somebody close to Declan Rice and they said it’s highly unlikely he stays at West Ham beyond this season.

“But if they secure Champions League football, then that does change things and he would be far more tempted to see things out for another season, so let’s see if that can happen.”

Rice may just be the best defensive
