Chelsea 'know' Declan Rice 'would choose' Stamford Bridge transfer
Chelsea are confident that Declan Rice would choose them if he decides to leave West Ham this summer, says transfer insider Dean Jones.
The Blues are just one Premier League giant who are currently being linked with the midfielder.
According to The Telegraph, Rice is a target for Chelsea, and West Ham are now expecting bids for their vice-captain in the summer.
The Blues are likely to face competition for his signature, though, with the same outlet claiming that both Manchester clubs are also keen on the player.
Elsewhere, the Evening Standard has suggested that Chelsea moving for Rice is not actually a guarantee, as they need to make space for Conor Gallagher following his successful loan spell with Crystal Palace.
Midfield is not a position where the European champions are light. They already have N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho and then Gallagher to return.

Should Chelsea decide to make a move for Rice in the end, though, according to Jones, the Blues believe they will win the race for his signature.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the football journalist said: “From Chelsea’s point of view, they know that if Declan Rice had a choice of where to go, he would choose Chelsea.”
There seems like there is a lot of competition for Rice, while the England international is thought to be valued at around £100m by West Ham, so Chelsea signing him does not look like a guarantee.
In the event that they do not, AS Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni appears to be the alternative that the Blues will turn to.
According to The Telegraph, the French youngster is another midfielder who the Blues are interested in. Furthermore, it would not be a surprise to see them
