David de Gea reacts to breaking Manchester United record in Carabao Cup win

David de Gea spoke of his pride after he set the record for the most clean sheets in the history of Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final win over Newcastle.

The Spaniard made history with his 181st clean sheet for the club to go ahead of Peter Schmeichel in the all-time leaderboard for the club.

De Gea did not have a particularly busy day in goal, but did make a few impressive stops to ensure that United held on for the win at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.

"It was the perfect day to keep a clean sheet in a final. I think we showed we are a good team, we performed really well, we deserved to win the cup, and let's keep going.
