Dave Cormack denies blocking Aberdeen fans as Dandies accuse Pittodrie chief of Barry Robson 'radio silence'

Dave Cormack has denied blocking Aberdeen fans on social media after he was called out for his 'radio silence' amid a run a wretched run on results.

The pressure is mounting on beleaguered boss Barry Robson after the Dons were turned over 3-0 by St Mirren at Pittodrie to leave them ninth in the table. With the Europa Conference League campaign over, fans are demanding Robsons team start climbing the table. A corner looked to have been turned with a late win over Hearts, but defeats to Rangers and the Buddies either side of a win over bottom side Livingston has seen frustration levels rise again.

Now Cormack has taken to X, formerly Twitter, after being accused of blocking members of the Red Army for criticising Robson after recent results and performances. One punter, who didn't tag Cormack, posted: "Davie Cormack now blocking his own fans on here, add that into the f**** deafening silence on the manager he's going the right way to p*** fans off even more not a good look."

But the Pittodrie chairman saw the post and hit back with one of his own, saying: "18,000 followers and I've only blocked 2 Dons fans in 7 years..both ages ago. Please reply to this with specifics of all those I've blocked that are Aberdeen fans..."

The back and forth continued over the specifics of who Cormack had blocked and when, but other Dandies were more interested in his thoughts on Robson and the perceived lack of recent communication from Cormack and CEO Alan Burrows.

One replied: "Instead of responding to these petty comments could you think about what's best for the club and sack Robson before he wastes another season and transfer window?"
