Barry Robson makes Aberdeen FC transfer stance clear on Bojan Miovski as striker hailed Premiership's best

Barry Robson hailed Bojan Miovski’s class after the Aberdeen talisman fired the Dons into the fifth round of the Scottish Cup - and insisted he’ll get even BETTER if he stays at Pittodrie.

The Dons were toiling to break down a stuffy Clyde side in last night’s tie in Hamilton. But Miovski produced a piece of magic to break the deadlock after 32 minutes with his 16th goal of the season and there was no looking back as Nicky Devlin added a second shortly after the break. Miovski still has two-and-a-half years left on his deal at Pittodrie but speculation over his future has intensified during the January window.

However Robson insists his star man is happy to stick around in the north east for a while yet. The Dons boss said: “It was a brilliant finish from Bojan. He just keeps scoring and that’s the important thing. Since we came in we’ve told him we needed to get his numbers up. He will cover double in high intensity runs now compared to when we came in which is incredible.

“That’s what gets him the goals. It’s evident he’s in the top three strikers in the league and he enjoys playing for us. You can see the chances his team-mates create for him. He can still get better. When we’re on the training pitch with him it really helps.

“He takes everything on board. What you have got to remember is that everyone thinks he wants to go. He is in a really good moment in his career and you don’t want to harm that in any way. He is at a place where he is loved and you don’t want to upset that.

“We love him, we know clubs will be looking at him. But it is going to need to be something really special for Bojan to be leaving here and Dave (Cormack) said that."

The win means the Dons are the first name into the hat for the fifth round
