Danilo summons Rangers transfer detectives as 'Cifuentes 2.0' makes social media hint amid Ibrox move impasse

Danilo has dropped a hint over his Rangers transfer saga as he gets involved with punters social media posts.

Twitter and Instagram has turned into a hunting ground for summer clues as fans across the land look to see if their respective clubs are any closer to landing top targets. Feyenoord star Danilo is one man Michael Beale wants at Rangers to bolster the forward but the done deal klaxon is yet to be sounded.

Jose Cifuentes kicked off a storm within the Ibrox fanbase after liking tweets recently indicating a move to Ibrox and now Danilo has provided similar ammunition. In response to a fan tweet that read 'Danilo pretty much ended all talk of coming to Rangers in his interview after their game, we were never going to get him', the Brazilian liked a response that said 'He kinda has to say that he is still under contract with Feyenoord are they are looking at other strikers so who knows.'

The forward had given an interview to the Dutch side's club media that he was looking forward to the season ahead in Rotterdam. But another liked post reading 'We want Danilo. Danilo wants us. Get it done, Rangers' hinted further towards Ibrox.

Fans have picked up on the moves, with one using a Mr Bean meme to say 'Danilo watching Cifuentes engineer a move to Rangers' while another quipped 'Cifuentes 2.0.' Another has posted 'hopefully he does sign for us' as the wait for the next arrival continues.
