Dancing on Ice star Greg Rutherford shares update from hospital bed after 'giving himself a C-section'

Greg Rutherford has shared an update with his fans from his hospital bed after undergoing an operation. The Olympian, who competed in the latest series of Dancing on Ice, missed out on performing in the final after sustaining a horrific injury during rehearsals.

The 37-year-old, who was also a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing back in 2016, told fans that he needed surgery after he effectively 'gave himself a C-section'. Host Holly Willoughby said at the time that everyone was "completely gutted" that Greg had to pull out of the show hours before facing Adele Roberts, Ryan Thomas and Miles Nazaire in the final round of the show. Co-host Stephen Mulhern said he was "so sorry" for Rutherford and sent him well wishes before actor Ryan later dedicated his win to the sportsman.
