Coronation Street's Colson Smith sends message after Celebrity Big Brother as he confirms soap plans

Coronation Street star Colson Smith has sent a message to his fans and followers after his success in Celebrity Big Brother. The actor spent three weeks in the iconic house after ITV rebooted the celebrity version of the reality series earlier this month.

He entered the house alongside X Factor star Louis Walsh, broadcaster and author Fern Britton, Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin, theatre star Marisha Wallace and YouTube presenter Zeze Millz.

But as the famous faces living in the famous compound were whittled down, Colson, who is known for playing Craig Tinker in the ITV soap, made it to the final alongside Louis, Nikita, Fern, Heartstopper star Bradley Riches and Ibiza Weekender's David Potts.

Former Coronation Street actor Ryan Thomas had previously been the last Celebrity Big Brother winner six years ago when the format was broadcast on Channel 5. But Colson finished in a very respectable third place behind runner-up Nikita and eventual winner David, with more than one million viewers tuning in to watch his victory.

Days on and now Colson has spoken out, issuing a series of grateful 'thank yous'. Sharing his official CBB promo shot, the soap star said: "Just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone for their love, support & encouragement during my time in the Big Brother House.
