Cristiano Ronaldo ‘demands’ Al-Nassr make transfer swoop for Manchester United midfielder
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Al-Nassr to make a move for Casemiro, who is said to be open to a ‘new challenge'.
The Brazilian has been the subject of Manchester United exit rumours in recent weeks with the pivot turning 32 next month. Despite having a brilliant debut season at Old Trafford, a downturn in form prior to his hamstring injury has left some fans wondering what long-term future he has at the club.
Casemiro penned a five-year deal upon signing in August 2022 at the age of 30, something that has been criticised as poor planning. United splashed £60m on the linchpin but there are fears the club may not get half of that back just 18 months on from his arrival.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe widely expected to take a more cut-throat approach when it comes to transfers, contracts and sales, an exit for Casemiro has been speculated. United are set to listen to offers for the player this month, albeit do not ultimately envisage a sale.
Nevertheless, a report from Foot Mercato says Ronaldo has commanded Al-Nassr to do what they can to bring his former Real Madrid teammate over to the Saudi Pro League, which Casemiro has frequently been linked with.
However, besides negotiations with United, a move for the five-time Champions League winner would not be simple. Saudi league rules stipulate a strict overseas quota when it comes to squad numbers and so an existing non-domestic player would have to be moved on by Al-Nassr in order for Casemiro to arrive.
