Craig Doyle tells This Morning fans 'see you' as he confirms future on show while co-star reveals nicknames

Craig Doyle has confirmed his future on This Morning as he declared 'see you' on social media. The Irish broadcaster has been a firm hit with viewers of the ITV daytime show since he made his presenting debut on the programme last year.

Craig most recently hosted the popular programme alongside Holly Willoughby following the sudden exit of her former co-host and friend Phillip Schofield.

The 52-year-old made his This Morning debut in May 2022 alongside Alison Hammond. However, it wasn't actually the TV and radio presenter's first-ever appearance on the programme. He had popped up from time to time in the past, such as hosting ITV's competition segment from around Ireland.

But now, more than a year later, fans are regularly calling for him to be a permanent host on the show, particularly since Schofield's shock exit after he admitted to lying about an affair with a younger ITV colleague.

And This Morning viewers are set to be thrilled as Craig has now confirmed that he will be back hosting in a matter of days. Since hosting alongside Holly during her last week on the show before her lengthy summer break earlier this month, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary have been at the helm.

But from Monday (July 31), Craig will be back fronting the programme. Taking to Instagram, he shared a snap of himself and Josie Gibson fronting the show and said: "Right then Gibbo... See you Monday." She then replied by sharing his post to her own Instagram Story and writing: "Let's do this Doyleroo."

Their return, however, will suffer changes being faced by the ITV daytime schedule at the moment due to coverage of the Fifa Women's World Cup. Instead
