Coronation Street star 'unrecognisable' as they celebrate friendship after soap snubbed at National Television Awards

Coronation Street star Harriet Bibby has been branded 'unrecognisable' as she put on a glamorous display at the National Television Awards. The Summer Spellman actress was among the ITV soap's cast who headed to the star-studded ceremony on Tuesday night (September 5).

Corrie was up for a handful of gongs at the biggest night in the TV calendar of the year, with both Charlotte Jordan and Maureen Lipman shortlisted in the 'Drama Performance' category, Channique Sterling-Brown up for the 'Rising Star' gong and the soap itself going for 'Serial Drama'.

But it wasn't to be on the night and the stars didn't get to bring a piece of silverware back up to Salford with them. However, it didn't dampen anyone's spirits as they have since been talking to social media to share a look from inside the event - from posing up a storm on the red carpet to grabbing selfies in London's O2 as they watched the ceremony unfold.

And while they didn't get to celebrate any wins, like they did at the British Soap Awards earlier this year, they did appear to be celebrating the friendships they have on the set of the long-running soap. On the night Harriet took to her Instagram Story as she posed for a number of snaps with Elle Mulvaney.

Harriet looked sensational in a figure-hugging red gown that featured a crossed neckline that boasted a flower decoration in the centre while Amy Barlow star Elle looked gorgeous as she opted for a classic black dress for the occasion featuring a racer neckline and cut-out detail around the chest.
