Coronation Street's Ellie Leach says 'that's fun' as she makes unfortunate realisation amid Strictly Come Dancing training

Former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has made an unfortunate realisation about herself as she gets stuck in to training for her next big gig. She's been away from the ITV soap for months now after leaving earlier this year after 12 years playing Faye Windass.

But her next role couldn't be further away from the cobbles as viewers will soon be seeing her as completely herself in the ballroom as one of 15 celebrities who have signed up for this year's Strictly Come Dancing. Ellie's debut on the show will come during the pre-recorded launch episode on Saturday (September 16).

While viewers still need to wait to find out which celebrity has been partnered with which professional dancer, the couples have already been decided and this week they got to work training giving them two weeks to practice before the first official live show on Saturday, September 23.

And while only a few days in, the training is already taking a toll, particularly on the new contestants' feet. Taking to Instagram Ellie shared a picture of her choice of footwear as she travelled in a car. Showing off her pink Crocs, the former soap star wrote: "Crocs need a clean but my toes are thanking me right now."

And quite a few hours later, she returned to share another snap to her Instagram Story, this time showing her geet bath in a bowl of iced water. "Day 2... Ice bath for the toes it is. Also, I've realised that I bruise like peach so that's fun."
