Coronation Street star Paddy Bever declares pride for co-star as he reveals off-screen achievement

Coronation Street star Paddy Bever has declared his pride for her co-star as he revealed her off-screen achievement. The actor, who plays Max Turner in the ITV soap, shared a selfie with Cait Fitton who recently returned to the cobbles as Lauren Bolton after a previous short stint.

Fans remembered the character for being Max's love interest as he was groomed by her dad's gang led by Griff Reynolds. Griff was the far-right extremist who terrorised Alya Nazir and councillor Maria Connor as well as refugee Daryan Zahawi who was brutally attacked by racist thugs while working at Alya's restaurant Speed Daal before leaving Weatherfield.

After a bomb scare and horrifying stabbing, the police were finally able to intervene and the group was destroyed, Corrie fans saw Lauren leave Weatherfield to spend time with her mum in Cornwall, convinced she’d be safer there.

But she has since returned to the street, seemingly looking for help and redemption for her dad's crimes. However, it was teased earlier this week that Lauren has somewhat of a hidden agenda as she was heard on the phone to her dad, Reece, as Griff's court case looms.

And while Max and Lauren's friendship looks set to be tested on-screen, Paddy and Cait are still getting on like a house on fire behind the scenes. Taking to Instagram this week, Paddy shared a selfie of the pair when he revealed that not only has Cait been busy working on the soap, she's also been finishing her university degree.
