Coronation Street icon's famous husband returning as Emmerdale villain 24 years after first appearance
One of Coronation Street's icons is set to go head-to-head with her real-life husband in the soap stakes as his Emmerdale return has been revealed. Jane Danson is famed for playing Leanne Battersby in the ITV soap but she's not the only actor in her family.
Her husband Robert Beck recently played Fergus Collins in Hollyokas but is also well known for starring as Peter Harrison in the now defunct Scouse soap Brookside. But the soap star is now set for Yorkshire as he's been cast as a new villain in Emmerdale.
But it's not his first time in the Dales. Rob actually played a character in the soap for more than 70 episodes back in the 90s and long-time Emmerdale fans may remember him.

He starred as Bernice Blackstock's love interest Gavin Ferris in 1999 but in a twist, the character was caught kissing Jason Kirk amid his engagement to Bernice.
But Emmerdale's fresh spoilers have now revealed that Rob is returning to Emmerdale but this time as Harry who is set to lead one of the village's residents astray. Next week, Caleb well be seen handing Nate over to newcomer Corey for his training and it's not long before Corey promises there are ways to make extra cash on the side.
