Coronation Street's Samia Longchambon says 'every time' as she explains 'tattoo'

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon has set the record straight on her 'tattoo' as she revealed that one of her on-screen outfits appears to cause confusion. The actress is best known for playing Maria Windass - formerly Connor and Sutherland - in the ITV soap.

Samia first appeared on the cobbles back in 2000 at the age of 18 after beating Girls Aloud's Kimberley Walsh and Hear'Say star Suzanne Shaw to land the role. In that time, Samia has only taken two breaks from the soap, in late 2009 and in 2015, both on maternity leave.

The soap star is now facing her latest hard-hitting storyline as she finds her son Liam Connor getting in trouble after he retaliated to bullying by Mason Radcliffe and Dylan Wilson - which he has been hiding from Maria and her husband Gary Windass.

But away from the important and difficult storyline, Samia has taken to the social media platform to answer some questions about Maria's wardrobe on the show.

Taking to Instagram, the 41-year-old posed for a selfie as she showed off a patterned turtleneck top that Maria wears and has been prompting some questions from fans of the long-running soap. She said: "Every time I (as Maria) wear this top on @coronationstreet I get messages saying it looks like I’ve had a neck tattoo.."

She then asked: "Should we ditch it or keep it?! Tell me below… you can decide Maria’s wardrobe on this one…" Samia also added: "Ps I also get loads asking where her long green coat is from.. it’s @riverisland @asos but not sure if they still do it."

Corrie co-star Sally Carman-Duttine was
